Manchester-based poet, playwright, spoken-word performer, zine-maker, and creative mentor
I perform regularly, create and facilitate workshops, and offer one-to-one mentoring and support
I am a writer from Wigan, based in Manchester. I am inspired by city life, urban nature and canals (geese are fabulous!), hiking, queer joy and community, and neurodivergence. I have received the New North Poets Prize from The Poetry School / Northern Writers’ Awards, and a Developing Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England.
I have been published in a range of journals and anthologies, and have worked with organisations including Manchester Literature Festival, Manchester City of Literature, Manchester Pride, Portico Library, Beatfreeks, Islington Mill, Oldham Coliseum, and Yorkshire Dance.
I have performed my poetry widely, and I have a solo show, ‘The Reason for Geese’, which I debuted in full at Turn On Fest 2022 at Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester. I offer creative workshops / mentoring, as well as support in applying for grants, as I previously worked in bid-writing.
I also work as an online tutor in English as a Second or Other Language, French, and Spanish.
I am always looking for exciting creative projects, and am currently open to new language learners, so please reach out!
