I am so excited to launch my debut poetry book, A love the weight of an animal!

The launch is at Seesaw, a lovely space in central Manchester, close to Oxford Road Station.

I will read lots of poems and chat about the book, interview my brilliant illustrator Michelle Freeman, and showcase some fabulous guest performers.

There will be a bar and the option to buy delicious Korean street food from the RamYum stall within the venue.

Tickets are free, but please book here so that we know numbers.

Write Out Loud at Waterside in Sale is a lovely night of spoken word that I’ve been proud to headline a few times before.

I’m really excited to return as Guest Poet to celebrate the publication of my debut collection, A love the weight of an animal - it feels like a real full-circle moment and very special.

Entry costs £3, or £2 concessions. I really recommend this cosy night.

The __________ Poets Department Launch

I am very excited to be one of the poets involved in this fun and unusual project inspired by Taylor Swift!

A group of us were each given the title of a song from Taylor’s upcoming album “The Tortured Poets Department”, and we wrote a poem based on the title alone. It will be really interesting to see how similar the poems and the songs end up being!

The zine is being launched at Gullivers in the Northern Quarter, Manchester, and I am looking forward to performing. The project is also raising money for the LGBT Foundation. Come along!
