Launch of my debut poetry collection, Manchester
I am so excited to launch my debut poetry book, A love the weight of an animal!
The launch is at Seesaw, a lovely space in central Manchester, close to Oxford Road Station.
I will read lots of poems and chat about the book, interview my brilliant illustrator Michelle Freeman, and showcase some fabulous guest performers.
There will be a bar and the option to buy delicious Korean street food from the RamYum stall within the venue.

Zine-Making Workshop at Marbury Road Edible Garden, Stockport
I am really looking forward to leading a zine-making workshop in the brilliant setting of Marbury Road Edible Garden!
We will be taking inspiration from the flowers and herbs in the garden to explore and create in a supportive space.
It promises to be a lovely afternoon.

Guest Poet at Verbose, Salford
It is a dream come true to be headlining Verbose!
I am excited to share a wide variety of poems from my debut collection, A love the weight of an animal, and there will be the opportunity to buy a copy of your own.
Verbose is always an amazing night, with such a strong sense of community, and I cannot wait for this one.

Guest Poet at Write Out Loud, Sale
Write Out Loud at Waterside in Sale is a lovely night of spoken word that I’ve been proud to headline a few times before.
I’m really excited to return as Guest Poet to celebrate the publication of my debut collection, A love the weight of an animal - it feels like a real full-circle moment and very special.
Entry costs £3, or £2 concessions. I really recommend this cosy night.

Hellcat Howls, Manchester
I am really excited to perform at Hellcat Howls for the first time!
This night showcases women, trans, and non-binary performers and creatives, with a focus on community.

Switched Up Poetry, Manchester
Switched Up Poetry is a really unusual and fun night. Each performer shares their own work but also a piece by a fellow performer, giving it a new voice and angle.

Guest Poet at Poems and Pints, Macclesfield
I first performed as Guest Poet at Poems and Pints in 2023, and I am really happy to be returning this July to celebrate my debut collection, A love the weight of an animal.
It is a lovely night in a cosy space, with lots of chat between performances. It would be brilliant to see you there!

ReWrite Showcase, Aarhus
I am looking forward to taking part in the second residency of the ReWrite project, in Aarhus, Denmark, in June.
Our work there will culminate in a performance at the festival LiteratureXchange, which promises to be a really exciting evening.

The Space Poetic, Manchester
The Space Poetic is such an innovative and lovely night, combining written/visual poetry, through a gallery, and spoken word, through performances.
I’m really excited to be part of it again this month.

Verbose
Verbose is always an amazing night of spoken word, and I am looking forward to performing at May’s event.

Burnage Library Open Mic Night
I was really happy to be invited to perform at Burnage Library on 26th February.
I look forward to sharing some poems on Manchester, nature, and identity.

Verve Poetry Festival Competition Event
I am overjoyed to be Commended in the Verve Poetry Festival Competition for the second year in a row!
This year’s theme is “Poets and Poetry”, and it was judged by the brilliant Hannah Lowe.
I am looking forward to performing my poem at the Competition Event on the Sunday of the Festival.

The Space Poetic
I’m very excited to perform for the first time at this innovative new poetry night that combines live spoken word with a poetry gallery. I love the idea of combining written/visual poetry and performance within a space.

Words from the Water
I’m very happy to have two poems in the new pamphlet Words from the Water, about waterways in the city - my poems explore cormorants in the River Irwell and walks along the River Irk.
I am looking forward to performing at the launch event - it will be a really lovely evening.

Joy//Us - Online Celebration for Coming Out Day
After a summer of touring from London to Brighton to Edinburgh to Manchester with the Joy//Us anthology poets, it is lovely to be coming together online for this celebration of Coming Out Day.
We will be performing our poems from the anthology and chatting about queer joy. It would be wonderful to have you there.

I’m really excited to be chosen to be one of the people giving speeches at the start of Trans Pride Manchester, and will be doing so in the form of spoken word poetry.
This will be such a special opportunity, and I can’t wait to be part of it.

I’m really excited to be returning to perform at this legendary queer cabaret night!
It is always a lovely atmosphere, with a brilliant range of spoken word performers and musicians.

Zine-making workshop with Women Poets’ Network
I am really looking forward to leading this Zoom workshop on zine-making for Women Poets’ Network, part of the Rebecca Swift Foundation.

The __________ Poets Department Launch
I am very excited to be one of the poets involved in this fun and unusual project inspired by Taylor Swift!
A group of us were each given the title of a song from Taylor’s upcoming album “The Tortured Poets Department”, and we wrote a poem based on the title alone. It will be really interesting to see how similar the poems and the songs end up being!
The zine is being launched at Gullivers in the Northern Quarter, Manchester, and I am looking forward to performing. The project is also raising money for the LGBT Foundation. Come along!

Lancaster Litfest - ‘Histories’ Gala Poetry Reading
I have really enjoyed spending time at Lancaster Litfest the last couple of years - there is always such a nice, relaxed atmosphere and lots of time to chat, eat cakes, and buy books.
I’m therefore very happy that I have been chosen to perform at this Festival’s Gala, on the theme of ‘Histories’. The brilliant Hannah Lowe, who will be hosting the event, selected my poem ‘Frog summer’, which is one of three that I have on the Litfest ‘Histories’ Poetry Map.
It will be a lovely evening!

Launch of Issue 11 of Strix
I’m really happy to have a poem in Issue 11 of Strix, and am looking forward to performing at the launch in Leeds.
Strix is a beautiful publication, and it is a real joy to be part of it. I hope you can come along!

After a brilliant trip to Bangor to perform at Words and Wine, I was so happy to be invited to do a guest slot at Llandudno Arts Festival!

Butcher's Dog 19 - Zoom launch
I am incredibly proud and happy to have a poem in Issue 19 of Butcher’s Dog, which has long been a dream publication for me, and to be reading at the Zoom launch.
I will be sharing my poem from the magazine, “things we might never do in the night”, as well as a couple more.
