Botanical Short Stories - ‘Stitching for Clem’

I delighted to have a short story in Botanical Short Stories, a collection of fourteen short stories inspired by wildflowers, published by The History Press in April 2024.

The anthology is edited by Emma Timpany and illustrated by botanical artist Sarah Jane Humphrey. I’m really proud that my story is one of those for which Sarah Jane created a gorgeous full-page illustration, of wild clematis.

I wrote ‘Stitching for Clem’ as an uplifting queer Manchester love story, featuring plenty of wildflowers, as well as hiking, embroidery, music, and other everyday moments of joy.
