Strix - ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Kiwi fruit’

I was delighted to have my poem "Kiwi fruit" published in Issue #4 of Strix Leeds in Summer 2018. This is a really beautiful print journal - I love its unusually tall shape. ‘Kiwi fruit’ is about childhood, family, and new experiences, such as losing a tooth and eating kiwi fruit.

I was then very happy to have my poem ‘Star Wars’ published in Issue #11 of Strix in early 2024. This poem is about my first cat, Murphy, and how life changed when he was hit by a car when I was fifteen. It was very special to read at the launch in the elegant location of The Leeds Library.
