Words from the Water - Two poems

It was a joy to have two poems accepted for Words from the Water, a project at Manchester Poetry Library exploring urban waterways, curated by Anita Slater and Joe Shute.

My poems are ‘Cue the cormorants’, about the cormorants in the River Irwell, and ‘Rosebay pink and chaotic’, inspired by walking along the River Irk.

The pamphlet has beautiful illustrations by Martha Harris, and it was an honour to see how she responded to my writing.

I performed at the launch at Manchester Poetry Library in November 2024 - it was a really lovely evening.
