Language is my passion, and forms the backbone to all of my work: creative writing and performance, language tutoring, editing and proofreading, and translation.

I graduated from The University of Manchester in 2018 with an Integrated Professional Masters in Languages, with my main languages as French and Spanish, though I also completed modules / courses in Catalan, Galician, and Mandarin Chinese.

My degree included Masters translation modules, one of which was French to English literary translation. For my projects, I chose to translate an extract from the novel Les Âmes fortes by Jean Giono, a short story by Guy de Maupassant, and Baudelaire’s poem ‘Les Chats’ (how can I not include some cats?)

In my free time, I also did some Spanish to English literary translation. I was really happy when ‘The dream’ - my translation of Segismundo’s Monologue from the Golden Age play La Vida es Sueño by Pedro Calderón de la Barca - was published in the ‘Found in Translation’ issue of Far Off Places.

I would love to do more literary translation, and am also open to general translation work. I am comfortable translating in either direction between English, French and Spanish; translating into English from Catalan, Galician, Irish or Mandarin; or working from a bridge translation from any language.
