Pride & Protest, and Dreams for Green with Unheard Poetry

Unheard Poetry run all kinds of innovative projects, and it has been a joy to be part of several of them. In particular, I’m really proud of having my poems selected for two poetry films, which you can watch on this page.

My poem ‘Beyond words’, about my experience of the World AIDS Day Vigil in Manchester, was made into a multimedia piece, read aloud by several voices, as part of the Pride & Protest project. You can read my poem, and see Clare Johnson’s beautiful artwork created in response to it, here.

Later, my poem ‘The frog pool’, about love, nature and learning from others, was made into a short film as part of the ‘Dreams for Green’ project about environmental poetry.
