Foxglove Journal: Founding, Editing and Photography

I founded Foxglove Journal in 2016, while I was living in France. It had been my dream for a long time to create my own journal, and my aim for Foxglove was for it to be online, free, and accessible to writers internationally, and to be very visual and a joy to explore.

Six years later, Foxglove has published over 450 pieces of writing, including poems, flash fiction, and short stories. It has been a privilege to work with writers around the world to develop and publish their work.

I take all of the photographs for the site myself, and have really enjoyed pairing up my photos with other writers’ work, in the hope of creating something bigger than the sum of its parts. Sometimes the connection between the writing and the photo is clear, but often it is up to the reader to decide how they might link.
