Cake - ‘Perpignan sestina’

When I was starting out in my writing career, Cake was a journal I dreamt of being part of. So, it was amazing when my poem ‘Perpignan sestina’ was accepted for Issue 9, ‘Pineapple Upside-Down Cake’ in Summer 2017.

My sestina explores the landscape of Perpignan’s beaches, mountains and city, Dali’s paintings, elephants, and ideas about fertility and family.
