The North - ‘All at once on a Wednesday afternoon’

I was really happy to see my poem ‘All at once on a Wednesday afternoon’ in Issue 69 of The North from The Poetry Business.

My poem is a shaped one, and is very personal to me, with themes of Manchester, healing from surgery, mental health, Tove Jansson, and lovely librarians.

I’ve enjoyed several projects with The Poetry Business over recent years, from being part of Introduction X to being a Digital Poet-in-Residence, so this was a brilliant place to reach.
