The Magic in the Mundane Workshop with Durham Poetry Society

I was really happy to be asked in as a guest writer to prepare and lead a workshop as part of Durham Poetry Society’s 2021 online programme.

During lockdown, many of our lives became much more mundane, without the chance to travel, or go to in-person gigs or events.

So, in the workshop, we looked at poems focussing on, and celebrating, the everyday - from tiny creatures like moths and ants, to our chores and habits, to finding inspiration in our living space, however small.

I got really great feedback, and had such a positive time working with this group.
