Ey Up Again and Ey Up 3

In 2023, my poem ‘Myth(olmroyd)’ was published in the anthology Ey Up Again from Written Off Publishing, and I was really happy to share it with the world. The poem was written after a hiking trip gone wrong in Mytholmroyd, Yorkshire, and how it led to a moment of queer empowerment and reflection.

Then, in 2024, my poem ‘Frogspawn’ was published in Ey Up 3. The poem is about my queer hiking group and had already inspired a comic collaboration with Michelle Freeman.

I performed at Rebuilding a Body, a celebration of Ey Up 3 and part of the Writing on Air Festival, in the stunning setting of Chapel FM in Leeds, and the show was broadcast live on the radio.

These anthologies include work from a range of fabulous poets from or in Northern England, many of whom I know from the spoken-word scene. It is lovely to be part of this together.
